Oh, the swinging pendulum of fashion. There must be an awful lot of unemployed consumer product or women's fashion marketeers being hired by the CAD industry.

The interface is on the screen, the interface is off the screen, the interface is back on the screen... each time with irrefutable research that they are doing the right thing.

Maybe there was a reason those people were unemployed.

Two tests of the Ribbons usefulness - in AutoCAD;

One, do ALL existing users immediately improve their bottom line and if not how long does it take to achieve the same level of productivity ALL measured in dollars. I bet their is not a single person who could demonstrate to me, changing to the ribbon improved their productivity and what that returned in true dollars.

The second test is seen from a trainers point of view. Is the ribbon easier to train newbies? I believe the answers is no; and as yet am to find another trainer that can prove it is.
