SolidWorks is expecting over 100 journalists at its SolidWorks World 2007 in New Orleans early next month. I'll be one of them.
Two weeks before then, however, I'll be flying to Boston to take part in PTC's annual two-day event for the CAD media and analysts. I trust you Easterners will have settled down the snow storms so that my travels will be easy.
Snow? What snow...? You will have no problems at all. The great Northeast has missed the snow wagon so far and received 40F+ temps instead...

I find it very hard to believe there will be 100 journalists at SolidWorks World. For one, there aren't even 100 CAD covering journalists in the world! If anything, SolidWorks is inflating that number to look better than they really are.

Don:
Perhaps the number includes technology journalists at non-CAD publications, like WSJ and USA Today.

1. The number could have been 101, but I'm one writer who won't be at Solidworks World. Nothing personal, it just conflicts with my day job.
2. I didn't even get invited to PTC's event. Maybe it's because I wasted over 50 hours in a one-year period and never did get Wildfire 3.0 to run. I finally gave up when tech support wouldn't even ackmnowledge my e-mails, let alone solve my problems. I'm aware of at least one other reviewer who refuses to review PTC products again because of a similar horror story.
