Shareholders want to boost the value, and so a group of them are agitating to get some "enhancing shareholder value" going. They are willing to work with management, and propose that Avatech be sold, merged with another firm, reorganized -- just do something!
For its part, Avatech says, I don't think so. Or, in the words of ceo George Davis, "We remain committed to our current strategic plans..."
In response, the AVSO share price shot up 25% to just over $1. The group got what it wanted!
