IronCAD is rebranding the new v2009 release of its software as "IronCAD Next Generation XG." Actually, I like it when software gets a snazzy name; I've told the ITC people they should've rebadged IntelliCAD 7 as IntelliCAD/ng or something like that.
After noting that IronCAD was the "first application to bring the power of feature-history and direct editing within a single part," the press release announces that XG goes one better by combining:

...Innovative design environment with the more conventional history-based structured design environment, allowing users to choose at an individual part level, which process is most appropriate for the particular part they are designing. On the 2D side, XG integrates CAXA's 2D design and detailing tool within IronCAD. For a limited time, they are throwing in a free copy of a standalone CAXA Draft license. (CAXA is the China-based part-owner of IronCAD.)

After all these years there is still no major CAM company who has ported their application to IronCAD. IronCAD just doesn't seem to get it and that's too bad because I'd love to see IronCAD be much more successful than it is.
On the other hand one of the largest CAM companies in existence has just made a major announcement and has already moved much of what is in Delcam PowerMill and Delcam Featurecam into their new product:
Delcam For SolidWorks.

It seems the trial download permission is not automated. I registered, then wait, and wait, and wait -- after 12 hours, I'm still waiting for the download link (or whatever IronCAD might send me).

Thanks Kenneth for bringing this to our attention. This has been resolved and the trial email should be up and running again. If you have not received the email, please register again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
