Autodesk Loses
Patent Appeal

Autodesk and Microsoft lost their appeal of a US$158-million patent infringement case. Z4 Technologies had claimed the two company's software used activation technology already covered by patent.

In the earlier case, a jury ruled that Autodesk owed Z4 $18 million, and Microsoft owed $140 million. Get out them chequebooks, accounts payable departments!
