slash.dot Flares Up Again
Over Adesk-eBay-Vernor

A mystery poster named "New10k" updates slash.dot readers on the Vernor vs Autodesk law suit in Watchdog To Represent eBay Seller In Autodesk Suit. (Briefly, the Ralph Nader-founded Public Citizen group is representing Vernor at no cost.) As Mikachu retorts, "I mean really, would you let a watchdog represent YOU in a suit?"

Vrmlguy did a screen grab of an Autodesk anti-piracy ad running next to the posting. As a reminder, this case is not about piracy (sales of illegal copies) but about the re-sale of legal copies, and whether private rights trump public rights.
