Charged by Pirates

One way to beat those who pirate software would be to charge less. If their copies of software costs $1 or $5, then charge $0, as Adobe ceo Bruce Chizen suggests in this comment made to CNET:

We recognize there is a customer there-- We recognize they are not going to pay us, necessarily, directly. But we could use ad revenue as a model. Google has demonstrated that it works pretty well for certain types of applications.

Right - all the top engineering companies will be begging for some under developed, undertested adware as a primary tool for developing their intellectual property! If only Airbus had thought to use freeware, their nightmare would be over!
