The Parts Circle is Squared

When Autodesk last month opened its Manufacturing Community Website, it linked to the parts library provided by PARTsolutions.

It's been a few years so you might not remember that PARTsolution was originally developed by Autodesk, then sold off as an independent company. Now Autodesk is linking back to its former self.

In similar manner, Autodesk is pleased that IFC data exported by its Revit software is approved by the IAI, an orgainization that Autodesk formed in the shadow of AutoCAD Release 13 and its new-fangled ARX-based custom objects capability.
