Newton on LBS

Randall Newton examines the possibilities of Google energizing the AEC (architecture engineering construction) market in Location-Based Simulation: Google Earth is the Foundation for the Next Advance in AEC Visualization.

(The title is a takeoff from "location-based services," where you get information delivered to your cell phone or portable, wifi-enabled device based on your location.)

Mr Newton writes: But we need the ability to set these animations in their intended geospatial context to arrive at true location-based simulation. He notes Mediality3D's desire to be front and center on location-based simulation, along with Autodesk's reluctance to joing the KML bandwagon.
