Commercializing Google (Or, Support Costs $$$)

Placebase is developing a commercial implementation of the Google Maps API, in order to overcome liminations of the free Google Maps:

* No support is available.
* Maps are branded "Powered by Google."
* Advertising can be added by Google to maps without notice.
* Daily transactions are capped
* Google requires all uses of Maps be freely accessible to end users.
* No upgrades for advanced cartography.

Placebase plans to launch Pushpin LE next Monday at the Location Intelligence mapping conference in San Francisco.
