Parametrics in DataCAD

The DataCAD Boston Users Group recently viewed new parametric features intended for a future release of DataCAD.

* A coffee table, for example, hides it legs in 2D views, but shows them in 3D views.
* Stretching a part of the table allows it to keep its table "essense."
* Right-clicking the object allows you to edit its dimensions.

Other smart functions include:
* 2- and 3-Line Walls
* Doors
* Cabinets and Tables
* Arrows and Text Clouds
* Paragraph Text - exports as RTF for word processors and as MText to DWG files.

No release date was mentioned, but host Evan Shu quotes DataCAD's Mark Madura as saying, "Parametrics are still our absolute number one priority."
